Ultra-premium small batch sipping tequila
The Pursuit of Perfection
Casa Dragones is an ultra-premium small batch tequila founded on a passion for innovation and a deep reverence for tequila-making tradition. Each expression is meticulously handcrafted to deliver an extraordinary sipping experience — from hand-selected Blue Weber Agave grown in volcanic soil to the final pour.
Our journey of taste begins with a modern, sustainable method of production in the highlands of Jalisco. Water sourced from natural spring aquifers, mineral-rich from volcanic soil, and precision-purified for balance. This is tequila elevated to art.
The Origin
It Started with a Promise
In 2009, Bertha González Nieves — the first woman ever certified as a Maestra Tequilera — joined forces with Robert W. Pittman, co-founder of MTV, with a shared vision: to reimagine tequila as a spirit to be savored, not rushed. What began as a passion project became Casa Dragones Joven, a small-batch sipping tequila crafted to stand alongside the world's finest spirits.

The First Tequila Rested Exclusively in Japanese Mizunara Oak
Reposado Mizunara
Casa Dragones Reposado Mizunara is the first tequila rested exclusively in new Mizunara casks, a rare oak native to Japan and traditionally used for aging Japanese whiskies. Crafted in partnership with Japan's only independent cooperage, these ancient trees can grow up to 200 years before they are harvested and handcrafted into the highest quality casks. This delicately rested tequila delivers subtle notes of orange blossom, apricot and coffee bean — perfect for the discerning reposado or Japanese whisky lover.

An Extraordinary Barrel Blend
Añejo Barrel Blend
A 100% Blue Agave Añejo tequila matured in two different wood barrels — new French Oak and new American Oak — each selected for their individual flavor and characteristics. Working with one of France's most respected cooperages, our Maestro Tequilero and Master Cooper expertly crafted two custom-made oak barrels. At the end of the aging process, we artfully blend both barrel styles together to create infinite richness and an agave-forward taste profile that is both elegant and smooth.

The Process
Mexican Craftsmanship
Volcanic Terroir
Our 100% Blue Weber agave grows for approximately seven years in the volcanic soil of the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt — rich in silica, potassium, and obsidian lava rock. Each plant is hand-selected at peak ripeness.
Pure Spring Water
Fresh natural spring water extracted from underground aquifers emanating from the headwaters of the Volcano of Tequila, purified through a state-of-the-art process to harmonize perfectly with our tequila.
Hand-Finished Artistry
Every Casa Dragones Joven bottle is hand-engraved using the traditional Mexican pepita technique, then individually labeled, signed, and numbered — an attention to detail that can only be achieved by hand.
Sustainable Innovation
Recognized by the Tequila Regulatory Council for industry-leading efficiency, our process uses less water, less energy, and fewer agaves per liter while creating less waste than conventional methods.
A Legacy of Independence
The name Casa Dragones honors Los Dragones de San Miguel de Allende — the legendary cavalry instrumental in Mexico's 1810 Independence Movement. Their signature blue uniforms inspired our brand color, and the number 16 on every bottle marks September 16th, Mexico's independence day. Our headquarters stands at La Casa Dragones in San Miguel de Allende, where history and innovation converge.
